Corporate travel, digital innovation and productivity fuel Group’s global growth

Our parent company, Flight Centre Travel Group (ASX:FLT), has released its half-year results for FY26

FLIGHT Centre Travel Group (FLT) has delivered an AUD$124.6m underlying profit before tax (UPBT) for the half year ended December 31, 2025. The full market release is here.

The results have exceeded expectations (with initial forecasts pointing to a broadly flat first half). And while they reflect a healthy appetite for business travel across Europe, the Middle East and Africa,  FCTG’s Managing Director for EMEA, Steve Norris, believes the Group is now
reaping the rewards of its investment in digital innovation, advanced technology platforms, the customer experience, and enhanced consultant productivity.

"Nearly all regions have now completed rollout of our Productive Operations project, strengthening efficiency and service consistency for customers. A standout highlight of the half is the rapid uplift in productivity – TTV per full-time employee increased 13% on the same period in FY25 and has now risen almost 20% compared to the first half of FY24," said Norris.

Comments by Herman Heunes, General Manager at Corporate Traveller South Africa:

“Our local teams have been instrumental in driving this record-breaking half-year. By leveraging AI tools to enhance our productivity, we are ensuring that our people have more time to focus on what matters most. We continue to strive for excellence by delivering a high-touch human experience, combining our expert travel manager capability with advanced technology to provide the personalised service our Corporate Traveller customers expect.”

“In South Africa, the first half saw several significant operational milestones: a new omni-channel enquiry system delivering faster response times, automated admin systems, and improved after-hours support structures. Globally, the period saw a return to profitability in Asia and healthy SME momentum in the United States, despite challenging market conditions.”

Comments by Chris Galanty, Flight Centre Travel Group, Global Corporate CEO

“This isn't about working people harder. It's about working smarter through AI-enabled tools and streamlined processes that free our consultants to focus on complex, high-value client work.

This allows us to automate the ordinary to deliver the extraordinary to our customers, who are the ultimate winners when it comes to our innovation and advancements across our corporate businesses, as we base many of our improvements on consultations with them as partners.

The corporate travel landscape is transforming rapidly. FCTG's combination of scale, service culture, and technological capability means we're not just navigating – we’re leading.”
