Zambia considers travel restrictions

Following the cholera outbreak in Zambia in October last year, officials have now imposed a curfew, ordering residents to stay indoors from 18h00. Officials are also considering imposing travel restrictions in a bid to curb the spread of the disease.

The travel restrictions will focus on travel in and out of the capital, Lusaka.

The FCO is advising travellers to follow the National Travel Health Network and Centre’s advice to reduce the risk of the infection. These tips can be found on the National Travel Health Network and Centre’s website.
