FLIGHT CENTRE TRAVEL GROUP PREPARES FOR EVENTUAL TRAVEL REBOUND BY RIGHT-SIZING AND REFOCUSSING BUSINESS

It is indisputable that the global spread of COVID-19 has had a significant impact on many industries. Few have been as profoundly impacted as the tourism and travel sector, with government travel bans, grounded aircraft and non-essential business lockdowns preventing the free movement of our customers, whether travelling for business or leisure.

While we grapple collectively as the human race on how all this will play out as business we are forced to make some very difficult decisions to ensure we preserve our cash and mitigate costs during this period of Hibernation for the travel industry.

Flight Centre Travel Group South Africa has therefore made the difficult decision to right-size its Corporate Traveller brand in line with client demand for future business travel. We have made every effort to retain the very best travel managers, account managers and leadership to service your account. Furthermore we have expedited the delivery of our global technology solutions, which will be adapted for local implementation in the coming months.

Our local financial runway is extensive and coupled with $900 Million capital raised globally, we are geared for the rebirth when the time comes.

We thank you for your loyalty, trust and continued support during this unprecedented time and we look forward to assisting you with your business travel need in the near future.

Yours sincerely;

Andrew Stark
