Since COVID-19, we know that businesses and travellers may be feeling a little nervous about flying again. Tiffany-Jade Rae, our Business Development Manager from Corporate Traveller, takes us on a journey from Johannesburg to Durban to show us how safe it is to travel again. Limited domestic air travel for business and essential purposes is allowed during risk level three, subject to restrictions on the number of flights per day and authorisation based on the reason for travel.

This includes understanding the rules and regulations of your destination, knowing what you might need to bring on your trip that wasn’t necessary before, and ensuring you are armed with the tools that will enable you to keep up to date and in-touch while on the road.

South Africa, like many countries in the world, has implemented travel restrictions as part of the measures put in place to fight the spread of Covid-19. Travel between countries is allowed in special circumstances.

Leisure domestic travel and international travel in and out of South Africa will not take place until further notice. South Africa's borders will remain closed during alert level 3 with the exception of repatriation flights in/out of South Africa.

South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced an easing of some lockdown restrictions. The country’s borders will however remain closed. All international and domestic flights are prohibited with the exception of repatriation flights.
