Philile Foundation

Corporate Traveller has been a supporter of the Philile Foundation for over two years and we’re delighted to report that Philile is growing from strength to strength.

The word PHILILE means “I am alive: Full of Life” and the Philile Foundation aims to transform the lives of children and disadvantaged communities in South Africa through proper pre-school education and health care.

Did you know that only 17 out of every hundred young children in our country have access to any kind of pre-school education. We owe it to our children to give them the very best start in life. The Philile Foundation aims to address this through various programmes they are running.

Corporate Traveller is committed to playing an active and supportive role in the Philile Foundation by providing sponsorship, volunteers and social development.

From 1 March 2010 the Philile Foundation will be opening a new early childhood development centre in Diepsloot. This centre will serve the community by providing proper pre-school education in a safe and nurturing environment. Look out for our next social responsibility report when we’ll show you all the photos of us painting their new school.

Philile will be selling branding space on the sides of the containers so should any corporate client wish to participate in the painting of the school please be in touch with Michelle Jolley on (011) 778-1316 for more information. We are also in need of paint, garden equipment, playground equipment, generators, heaters, toys, stationery and blankets.
