Following the implementation of US President Donald Trump’s temporary travel ban on travellers from Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Iran, Somalia, Libya and Yemen to the United States, protests are taking place outside a number of US airports.

Due to the protests, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) released a statement advising travellers to allow additional time to get to the airport and proceed to the correct terminals.

John F Kennedy International Airport’s Twitter timeline warns of possible traffic delays and has advised passengers to check the status of their flights with their airline before arriving at the airport.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport says operations are running normally, but has advised travellers to plan ahead and arrive early.
